This module unit is intended to provide the trainee with knowledge of human body structure and functioning. This will impart relevant skills and attitudes applicable in nutrition and dietetics.

By the end of the module unit the trainee should be able to:

a) Describe the structure and functions of skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular and lymphatic systems

b) Explain the relationship between body system, nutrition, health and diseases

c) Describe the relationship between the structure of cells and tissues to the functions of the body
