This course is intended to equip the student with competencies to make an initial assessment of a casualty and recognize a range of signs and symptoms associated with accidents and medical emergencies in the community.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course the trainee should be able to:
- Handle emergency and monitor a conscious victim for life and life threatening conditions
- Prioritize care for life threatening injuries or sudden illness
- Manage different types of emergencies and injuries.
- Practice basic precautions to reduce the risk of disease transmission and control external bleeding.
