Introduction
The module unit comprises of general communication , applied geometry, projections and working drawings. It is a support subject for all technical craft courses. It is expected that trainee will communicate ideas within a selected field and correctly interpret drawings.
Specific Objectives
By the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to :
- communicate ideas through the use of sketches and scaled drawings
- read and interpret engineering drawings
- set out practical work from a given sketch or scaled working drawings
- use new technological changes in drawings
The learner will achieve this objectives by doing the following :
- study learning materials attached
- practise drawing / sketching various tasks / exercises
- read further from the internet and library
In this book John Bird introduces electrical principles and technology through examples rather than theory - enabling students to develop a sound understanding of the principles needed by technicians in fields such as electrical engineering, electronics and telecommunications. No previous background in engineering is assumed, making this an ideal text for vocational courses at Level 2 and 3, foundation degree and introductory courses for graduates.
Introduction
Mechanical science introduces the trainee to the science applicable to the engineering field. its aim is to equip the trainee with the basic concepts of engineering science.
Specific Objectives
By the end of the lesson , the learner should be able to :
- define terms related to motion
- state the three laws of motion
- perform calculations on motion
The learner will achieve this objectives by performing the following activities :
- read the lesson notes attached
- watch video presentation on laws of motion
- attempt questions on the topic of motion
- research more on the topic from the internet, library etc
