This module unit is intended to impart the trainee with knowledge and skills on the management of animals for production of high quality products.
General objectives:-
By the end of the module unit, you should be able to:-
1 Demonstrate and guide in the skills of animal feeding, reproduction, breeding and disease prevention.
2 Demonstrate and guide in skills and techniques necessary in livestock production.
3 Acquire , adapt and use new technologies.
4 Interpret government policy on environment in which livestock and livestock products operate. 5 Participate and carry out tasks in research, product preservation and processing.
To achieve these objectives, you will carry out the following activities; read documents provided on different topics, visit the farm for various practicals, field excursions and research activities
