In this course we explore the relationship between nutrition and HIV and AIDS at different stages of disease progression, the benefits of nutrition interventions in the management of HIV, nutritional care for people living with HIV, drug-nutrient interactions and side effects of medication, ARVs and food Supplements. We also explore pregnancy, lactation, PMCTC and infant feeding in the context of HIV and AIDS, food support, food and nutrition security and HIV and AIDS, nutrition counselling and behavior change communications and reporting, monitoring and evaluation in nutrition and HIV programs.
