This module unit is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitude in nutrition anthropology applicable to nutrition and dietetics.

By the end of the sub module unit, the trainee should be able to:

  1. Describe the role of nutrition anthropology in nutrition and dietetics
  2. Explain how human behavior influences food acquisition
  3. Explain the social factors that determine the pattern of nutrition and disease
  4. Describe social cultural processes that affect nutrition and dietetics
