This module unit is intended to enable the trainee to apply design theory and related information learned during the course to solve practical design problems.

The trainee is expected to gather and review information and solving building construction design problems and civil engineering design problems. This module is unit is intended to enable the trainee solve practical design problems given special conditions.

Surveying is a study of the processes of establishing points on part of the earth's surface in relation to other points of known attitude and bearing.

This module unit is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary in computing heights of points and their bearings which is necessary in construction works. 

By the end of this module unit, the trainee should be able to;

  1. understand working principles of survey instruments
  2. carry out survey work to provide data for planning, design and construction works
  3. apply surveying skills to control construction works
  4. stay abreast with modern technologies in surveying field

This module unit is intended to equip the trainee with relevant mathematical knowledge, skills and attitudes to enhance their analytical skills and understanding in Building Technology and other areas of the trade.  Trainees undertaking this unit require to have completed Mathematics I of this course.

This module involves equipping trainees with knoledge,skills and attitudes in categories,evaluating building units and components.upon completion of the module,one can work as  an assistant quantity surveyor aqmong other fields of work.

this module unit is designed to equip the trainees with knowledge,skills and attitude necessary for carrying out cost evaluation and price analysis in various building structures.
