This course is intended to equip the learner with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him/her to understand the nature of human behaviour and the stages of human development.


GENERAL OBJECTIVES

By the end of this module unit, the trainee should be able to:

a) understand the human development

b) appreciate the importance of socialization

c) understand the role of environment in human development

d) understand the role of culture in human development

By the end of this topic, the trainee should be able to;

  1. explain the meaning of a business plan
  2. explain the purposes of business plan
  3. outline the features of a business plan
  4. state guidelines for developing an effective business plan

To achieve the above objectives, the trainee should:

  • read notes on the meaning of a business plan, the purposes of business plan, outline the features of a business plan.


This module unit is designed to equip the trainee with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable him/her to appreciate and evaluate social policy and administration issues in a society. 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES.

By the end of this module unit, the trainee should be able to:

(a) understand the policy formulation process.

(b) understand policy analysis and development process and their impact on a society.

(c) appreciate the importance of policy in social development.

(d) apply appropriate techniques to evaluate social policy issues.

(e) understand the impact of emerging issues on social development.

INTRODUCTION

This unit is intended to equip the trainee with knowledge , skills and attitudes that will enable him/her to manage rehabilitation and reintegration of deviants in society.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

By the end of the topic trainees should be able to ;

a. Understand the  causes of deviations in society

b. Manage rehabilitation of social deviants in society

c. Appreciate the importance of reintegration of people with deviant behaviour in society.


INTRODUCTION

This unit is designed to equip the trainee with knowledge , skills and attitudes that will enable him/her to effectively counsel and support clients in a society.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

By the end of this module the learner should be able to;

a. Appreciate the importance of counselling services in society.

b. Explore counselling issues in society.

c. Enhance awereness of ethical and professional issues in counselling

d. Network with other organisation involved in counseling services.
