It involves conducting self management, demonstrate interpersonal communication, critical safe work habits, leading  a work place team, planning and organizing work, maintaining professional growth and development, demonstrating workplace learning, problem solving skills and managing ethical performance.

This unit covers the outcomes required to build and develop the enterprise to be more competitive within changing business environment, specifically responding to consumer demands while maintaining product quality and accessibility, building a customer base and employee motivation

This course covers environmental hazards and management, environmental pollution and control, types of pollution and its effects, identification of hazards in the workplace and prevention.

This unit specifies the competencies required to lead to the implementation of workplace safety and health program ,procedures and policies /guidelines  

Baking technology level 5 consist of competencies that an individual must achieve to enable him/her to produce a variety of yeast products, pastry products and cakes. it also involves decoration of cakes using variety of methods.

OBJECTIVES

  1. The learner should be able to identify equipment used in baking technology
  2. To categorize equipment and their uses.
  3. To explain care and maintenance of bakery equipment
