This course is aimed at providing the trainee
with basic knowledge of the biochemistry relevant to chemical engineering. It
is also intended to create awareness in the trainee regarding different
biochemical processes as well as to impart the relevant skills in performing
biochemical practicals
This course unit is intended to provide the trainee with both fundamental principles and practical knowledge of chemical kinetics and Reactor Engineering.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES At the end of this course unit the trainee should be able to:-
a) Explain the fundamental principles of chemical kinetics.
b) Describe the operation and construction of chemical reactors.
